New Portfolio Work - leaning into photo realism. Interested in hearing what you think.

Weird... but nicely put-together.

Definitely an interesting photomanip, but I would recommend trying to get higher resolution images for this type of stuff. Most of it isn't too bad (and I have seen WAY worse examples of it online), but regardless...this could never be in print anywhere, because already the "cloak" is breaking down.
Also, up by the horns, it isn't meshing too well with the background. trying slightly blurring the edge (not too much, though) just so it doesn't look so pasted on. I can really see your lasso cuts and that isn't what you want with stuff like this. It's all polish stuff, but it's tiny errors like that that really bring a piece down.

Dusty, thanks for the feedback. I was vaguely aware of what you were talking about while I worked and now can see it more clearly.

A strange picture indeed, I think there are some interesting ideas here but the technical execution of the photomanipulation is somewhat lacking. I think your second version is a lot better then the first though. I think it’s good that you got rid of the jewelry from the head.
