Spartan Camp #79 - 50 gestures + Optional Study of "Feet"
The aim is to produce 50 gestures by Sunday the 22th of March.

The gestures can be of anything, human, animal, cavorting capybaras....and can be in any media, digital or traditional is fine. Both with and without reference is OK. 50 poses is a challenge, but don't stress yourself reaching it! Practice is the main goal.

In addition to this, participants can choose to do a Optional Study of "Feet", in any media. Black and White or Colour is fine.

:muscle: Come on soldiers! Flex those muscles!! :muscle:

PS...critting each other is highly encouraged!! Let's help each other get better!

it was a tough week, but I did my gestures somehow (in the weekend, I had practically no free time on workdays).

I'm not pleased, I did it much better in the past. I think I will focus on flow next time and sketchy stickmen won't bother me... I want to capture the gesture itself, not the anatomy. I'm too unskilled, I can't have everything, I have limited time.

I couldn't take the optional seriously enough, I was very tired already...

Smarty; Also tried to use a pen this week, inspired by your poses. Those are pretty good, they seem smoother and the heads seem better. Nice and quick poses, few lines. Also good to see your own mistakes, since you can't erase using a pen. Very nice foot studies, think the toes are great.
shiNIN; I actually think some of those are pretty good, where you did capture a sense of flow. But quite a few are also stiff, perhaps those were done without construction? Or just quicker. You're doing a good job exploring how to draw these, keep that up! Starting with the flow can be great. Take it easy! You can also try and do a long study from reference. Nice optional, skin colour is tough..

New one up soon.

Not exactly 50 for me, and no optional. Got stuck with some work for uni.

I always try to construct my gestures (I have the feeling I learn too little from it even this way :( my own gestures are horrible if not the simplest ones), but I tend to make them stiff, even if I try really hard. it's frustrating, but I won't give up.
