I was going through various sketches and speed paints that I've done over the years and I realized that I've never posted any of it. I figured there is no better time than now so here's a small quick batch of random incomplete bits and pieces. I'm hoping that if I keep motivated enough to go through stuff and post it here I might be able to pressure myself into doing some new art. Now that I've started I'll be updating this sketch book as I get stuff organized and combined. The images here are anywhere from 5-10 years old. I'll have a bunch more in the next couple of days.

More Sketches posted later in the thread.

Thanks all for the comments.

IanE, Here's another dump. This stuff is older than the first batch. Most of it 8-9 years ago. Mostly really fast speed paints or 2 minute creature sketches.

DaStreets, I'll take that as a complement since it was the intention. Most of my sketches are just to get an idea across and mostly with games in mind.

Serio, Prolly because I used to work with Andrew and he's been a great friend and inspiration to me.

I'll have more up soon.

Thanks again

Great Work!
Nice soft look to your creature sketches!
Cool Inking on your characters as well!
Post more!
The Last page of sketches reminds me of some of the crazy imaginative critters from (old school) metroid and metroid II!

Thanks again for all the comments. I appreciate the encouragement. This next set is still old stuff from when I was experimenting with Painter for the first time.

twoAsix, I definitely have done a ton of experimenting with various techniques, filters and styles. This is mostly motivated by a lack of free time, trying new things to see if I can speed up my process. I'm going to post some more experimental pieces a little later.

I found an old sketch book and decided to combine a couple of pages. I thought some of the creatures were interesting when I looked at them again so I decided to do another sketch tonight. The one with the blue ink is the new one. I might color it for fun when I find some more time. :oneye:

Thanks All. I haven't posted for a bit so here's a quick update with a couple face variations on the same character. These are from 8-9 years ago. It's fun to keep digging up old stuff.

BARONTiERi thanks for dropping in and checkin out my stuff. There's gonna be a bunch more that you haven't seen.

polydrawer thanks for the compliment I've got a bunch more stuff in the style of the last image. I'll try and get some together next week.

cdrichardson I'm in the process of painting that one up. We'll see if you still like it when I'm done. Bwahahaha.

...and just for fun, a silly bonus image. Donnie Darko Samus! :P

A couple more images. The first is a bit of marker stuff and the second image is from illustrations I did for a project my mother was working on. Some of the pictures in this thread have questionable quality. Unfortunately I don't have a functioning scanner so I have to take digital photos or my art in order to transfer them...

Yeah! That isometric enviro cliff is really great. I love the architecture and the whole vibe of the aesthetic. Sweel job, mate. :) Thanks for coming by my book as well. Cheers!

Been really busy lately and hadn't had a chance to post. So let me cough something up like a mangled hairball.
