I had the urge to paint up one of my old drawings. After the color was added, I was mildly surprised at how much more life she had. Excuse the stiff pose. The drawing was done a couple of years ago.

nice job sedone...
the upper part of the cape is a little flat, some wrinkles would be good there.
This is a really good idea that you are doing...so you can see your mistakes on that sketch and fix them...nicely done

you shoulda started with some sort of underpainting.. the white is very distracting... especially between the cape and her breast..

Very cool. I like the way you applied the color (not sure I'm using the right word, there . . . the point is, I like the way the color looks).

Very Nice dude, I kinda like the fur on the edge of her cloak in the drawing I would be curious to see it painted in.

Your opinions are much appreciated. I'll most likely touch this again later, and will keep your suggestions in mind. I'm going to make it into a series of sorts.

Hey Sedone, I almosed missed this one. Is this forum going fast or is it just me being lazyeyed (?) I always love your stuff, the way you paint faces and balance particualary amazes me all the time. ANd your pencil sketches are always cool too.

I remember recently seeing you posting a small picture with a girl with knife or something with a red background. It had a really nice feel to it, she alsmost look real, yet it had some simple brush strokes. I would love seeing a bigger version of that picture. If you know which I mean.

Here's another one of my character studies. I might touch it again at a later time, but I'm done with it for now.

And the sketch:

Here's a link to a hi-res version (http://www.sedone.com/forum/Psionic2.jpg) of that one picture Joachim's talking about. I compressed it quite a bit.

Wow, the colors really bring your sketches to life.. only thing I can add is that the characters would be better (if that is possible) with some scenery or maybe just some ground to walk on, cobblestones, etc.

But man, you rock.

I just love your stuff sedone, especially the loose painting. Real confidence there.
Post more please.

These are great Sedone, some of the best paintings are the ones done from older sketches and drawings.
