Topic: The battle with the Flying Monkeys. (The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum)
Details: The artist may interpret this in any way they choose. They may follow the book, or they may put a new twist on it: sci-fi, fantasy etc. so the design of the characters and the environment is completely open. Abstract environment is okay if the artist chooses to focus on the characters. To view this portion of the book, go here: Monkey Battle! (http://www-2.cs.cmu.edu/People/rgs/oz-12.html)
The artist may also choose to do a vignette, or an epic wideshot of the battle, or even several vignettes, in which case the images must relate in some way. Process shots are not necessary, but may be posted.
Medium: Open

That is a wicked cool topic.
Just thought I'd drop by and say 'ello. Drop me a line mate.

Okay, I have to break the ice on this one. These are just some really quick sketches. Yes the end result will be in pencil, but I'm not going to limit myself to that during the exploration process.

I went for an A2 sketch(although the single sheet that I ended up getting was larger) and put little thought into what would happen come scanning time. Had to hurry this as the same morning I finished sketching(5am) I had to get to a mates engagment party by hitchiking 300 miles. Ace one.
Couldn't align scans properly, unintentionally cropped off side and bottom area's plus completley forgot to scan some pre sketches. Tard.
Go Phuzion bud.

Damn Lukias! You're gonna force me to up it a notch or five. Nice drawing man. I'll post mine either later tonight or tomorrow... Whew. Rock on bro. Peace
Okay, this is a good example of why you should save your file as you're working. Photoshop went wonky on me and erased my history, so I was stuck with this stupid radial blur, unless I wanted to rescan the picture and put it together... Anyway, this is my submission for now. I may be able to turn in another one tomorrow, but I'm not sure. So for now, I'll bite the bullet.
