new sb! 2009

hay i have a old sb here and i thought i should make a new one. im not that great in art YET. i used to never do studies so a bunch of people got mad at me in my last sb. well just on last saturday i decided to re-start this. so give me advice!! new to old

here i am reading your first few lines of this sketchbook thinking, ah he's learned his lesson, he's actually going to take the advice and start fresh, with a bit of life drawing, some anatomy studies, colour tests, thumbnails,

but no

you post a new sketchbook..with..no studies, surely to god the bum-raping you had in the other thread would encourage you to take peoples advice.
Considering youve asked for advice [again], im gonna take that and give you some, choose to use it if you will

put down the damn wacom tablet, grab a PENCIL and draw...not from the pc screen, but from life :o
draw anything you see! grab a mirror, draw a self portrait, if you have a dog, draw it, draw your hand, foot, testicle ANYTHING

i hope you realize that people aren't stalking you to beat up on you. no, people return to your sketchbook because they want to see you get better. don't let us down man!

i used to spend all my time drawing just what i liked. but when i started doing studies, i ended up liking them too. AND i found that my art got a lot better a lot faster when i did studies. so i still do them today, and i'm able to draw the things that i want better and more quickly because of it.

there's tons of resources out there, tons of books on drawing, videos on drawing. but the only thing that will make me a better artist is if i spend the time drawing. so find something interesting, and study it...GO DRAW! :)
