My vote went to jail house. Along with being well painted I think he touched the emotional base the best. Just next time leave the leaf brush out. That brush is almost as bad as lens flares sometimes.
In this case they're giving it a weird Pocahontas feel to it. It'd be better off without them.
My next vote would go to OmertA. Really neat character. I like the colours and what you've done with the shadow in the background.

OmertA, I like the piece, technically it is very well done. But it really doesn't fit the topic other than being war themed, which is awfully broad. You need to capture the essence of the "sperate but one" idea. I don't really even know if that has to be related to war. However, as far as it goes purely artistically, fantastic job - I like the colors quite a bit and the white tatters in the foreground.
JailHouseRock, I also really like this. I think you could've worked out the foreground grass a little more, and I agree with Keng about the leaf brush. However, the character and background and very well developed. Overall a great piece and one that does a fantastic job of portraying the topic. You get my vote.
Nice work guys - I'm interested in getting involved in this forum, I just wasn't a huge fan of this topic.

First of all really great work from everyone, and thanks Dave for an interesting topic.
Ronald Liu- You got my vote man, I really love the sense of scale and texture in this piece, and it fits the topic well. You've really been working hard on your brush work Ronald and it shows.
I only wish the valley faded off in to the distance i bit more, it kinda looks like it stops to soon. great work though.
Linguini- Nice pencil work here Linguini, values look good and I can see whats going on, But it dose look a bit like its been croped, like where not seeing the whole thing. Still cool!
OmertA- Wow mate awesome character! Great rendering and the shadow(s) in the background, But I gotta agree with Zakarra that it doesn't really fit the topic. Nice character and presentation all the same.
Ctharder- Haha, really fun piece ctharder, Again it fits the topic, but presentation could be better. That window in the middle is really distracting and the two characters could be rendered better. But nice depth and perspective.
And thanks to Zakarra, and Keng.
cheers

Everyone, i'm pretty fine with doing these things weekly. Would anyone have any objections with me being 'Teen Challenge Leader'? (like yoitisi is for the IDW, and daestwen for CHOW).
And ps. a la bapsi wanted to make the next, pmmed her on monday to set up a topic before yesterday, but she hasn't replied yet. (nor made a topic) if she doesn't make one before tomorrow (thursday) i'll make one.

Yeah I've got no problem with that Dave, Though you may want to just check with davi or one of the other moderators, but it sounds fine with me.
And if you need any help week by week just let me know and I may be able to help out every now and again.
And thanks to those who have voted for me piece,
cheers,
matt
