I like the use of the small bit of color that you used in the skin tone. I find it interesting use in small sections like the nose and forehead. The head is a little skewed though. I find that happening a lot in my drawings also.

Your anatomy studies are looking really nice. Do you find you're retaining a lot of the information?
Try practicing more gestures. You probably are aware of this site, but if not, www.posemaniacs.com has a good gesture practicing tool. Your lines are a bit scratchy right now and gesture practices may help make them flow better.
Keep it up!

Very nice self portrait! I don't know if it's just a bad scan, but you might want to smooth it out a little as the shading looks a bit blotchy. Great work though (and don't forget Self Portrait Day on November 1st, whooo) :D

Wow I see lots of improvement from your first figures to the ones now! Your gestures are looking real good, my favorites are the three of the lady with the buldging stomach. Nice job, keep drawing!

Combining Classical Literature with the Horror Genre
I did Juliet as an Alien. The guidelines were to keep it as a single character design, not to fully render it, have a dynamic silhouette, and make it a commercial style.
Critiques would be much appreciated.

hello, I have a secret.
according to the admissions dude i talked to, they like self portraits. but watch out...not the boring, blank stare kind. they like facial expressions, slash different angles, creativity, emotion.
I may be behind on drawing figures, but if there's one thing I've always loved it's faces :) try to get your hands on the facial expressions book by Gary Faigin.

I'm consistently impressed by your figure drawings and the faces/heads in your portraits and self portraits..so it kinda disappoints me that you seem to almost under-detail the shoulders sometimes. I also like the whole abundance of headphones, very cool :).

Your sketches are great buddy. You seem to have a good grasp of form and perspective. When you draw heads be more carefull with the eyes, you tend to flatten them out in some sketches. It's damn hard to get that right. I've been having the same problem lately. Looking forward for more.

I love some of your things very much, others still have a few anatomical and colour issues. The digital illustrations are kind of flat colourwise. Try adding saturation in some key points and more contrast as well.
I love the two bears. They are bad-ass.... or maybe not?

hmmm don't know if this will help, but eye dropping the tone between 2 colors and using that color to paint in between ur contrasts help to blend the light and shadows better. maybe it's your brush settings too?
