Still working on this.

Dwinbotp - I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. I hope he is able to find his way back soon.

Comments:
dwinbotp- Very nice! I like the piece a lot with its soft colors...and the little cat is so very cute. He does look really unbalanced without a tail, though.

skekTek- love the tiger and his swashbuckling pose. Awesome work.

Markito- For not being quite done yet, I like it a lot. It's got a lot of personality with the sketchy lines and cartoony figure. If you add more, don't define it too much, I think... the scribbly quality really works for this one.

And after a couple days of work, here's mine finished. The architecture is a little wobbly in places, I know, but considering I've never attempted anything nearly that ambitious in terms of perspective and detail... I'm not gonna fiddle around with it too much. I'm pretty pleased with it. Might do a little more detail in colored pencil on it later, but not for CHOW.

any and all crits welcome with open arms! See any glaring faults? Anything that needs to be fixed? Anything at all I can tweak before I give up and send it to the finals thread? (The writing and random doodling around the edges will be removed, 'a course. Even though the girl cat makes me laugh. :D)

Sorry... I'm rather dense and still don't get it.

MONDAY, MARCH 16th, 2009[/size]
Deadline is Sunday, at 5:00 pm Eastern Standard Time (GMT -4)

So for New York City, the deadline is/was 5:00 in any event? I don't get the GMT adjustment... and my brain hurts...

I think the deadline is MONDAY at 5:00 Eastern, which is at GMT -4. Normally it is Sunday, but because daestwen (?) has to work, the cutoff has been extended a bit. That's how I read it, anyway.

Hopefully you're right FlameRaven, I got pretty far into this one... but weekends are unavailable. If the deadline's still tonight I've got a chance.

CCThrom:

Yes, Toronto and New York are both Eastern Standard, hence currently GMT - 4 (four hours behind Greenwich Mean Time in England). So it is right now 5:06 where I am.

Just a heads up, about to close the final burning thread, but I will leave a thirty minute grace period window open, as usual.
