Brad Pitt Portrait [Wip]

Hi guys! :)
I am currently working on this portrait of Brad Pitt and I am facing some obstacles. There is just...something not right with my painting. I am not sure if it is the eyes or other elements. Also I am not really sure what to use for the background. I tried using the middle tone and the complimentary colour of his skin tone, but I want to explor other possiblities.
Can you guys help me out? If you see any mistakes, please don't hold back, tell me!. Thanks :chug:

You definitely have to work the hair a little more and darken the chin.

Your eyes look awesome but the right one (viewers right) is missing some highlights above it.

There is something off in the general colours palette. In the magazine, his skin looks somewhat paler. Less red maybe.

I think the colors are fine. The eyebrows seem to need to slant a bit, that is basicly the only thing I see other than the hair which you can tell you are just blocking in. Looks tons better than I can do.

I detect a slight difference in the jaws. It seems to me that the jaw at the sides of the face are dropped down a little bit lower than the original. Not a lot but I think I see it.
I think the pink under the eyes is a little too bold.

Looking back and forth, all in all it looks great. However the eyes are either to small or too close together. Not sure which. Other then that it ROCKS!

Ohoui! I didn't get much time to work on this in the past few days...anyways here is update. I fixed up his jaw a bit, thinned down his lip (not much) and a new background colour. I am not sure if this colour works...any suggestions?
