I am looking for concept artists to work on visuals for my upcoming book Programming an MMORPG in C# with XNA (http://www.amazon.com/Programming-MMORPG-XNA-Jeromy-Walsh/dp/1584505931), being published by Charles River Media, as well as the accompanying demo. This is expected to be a popular title so this is a great opportunity to have artwork circulated in front of thousands of readers and community members. Any artist who contributes concept art for the book will have their names, portfolio, and contact information provided inside as a form of advertisement for their services.
In specific, I am looking for concept art of the various classes, races, locales, temples, crypts, dungeons, armor, weapons, buildings, cities, and other places of interest contained within the world being built as a companion to the accompanying book.
So if you're a creative artist looking to provide artwork for a wide circulation, and are interested in being involved in the development of a community project, please come learn more at our website and forums or contact me directly.

Jeromy then moved to Pandemic Studios to spearhead their Next Generation Tools Department and was involved in the development of “Mercenaries” and “Star Wars Battlefront.” Today Jeromy is the Lead Programmer of Level-Grind Online, an open-source community built MMORPG, and President of a software startup company. In his free time he acts as a roaming moderator on GameDev.net where he reaches out to more than 400 students annually when he writes lesson plans, review questions, and programming projects for his workshops on game development and programming languages.
About Level-Grind Online:
Level-Grind online is a 3D open-source, "Sword & Sorcery" style MMORPG being developed in combination with the book Programming an MMORPG in C# with XNA (http://www.amazon.com/Programming-MMORPG-XNA-Jeromy-Walsh/dp/1584505931). It has been in development for approximately 6 months, and aims to accommodate many of the same features present in modern MMORPG's. The first half of the project is an XNA "MMORPG Starter Kit", designed to give aspiring development teams a stable platform with which to create their own customized games. The MMORPG Starter Kit will be released as part of the companion CD for "Programming an MMORPG in C# with XNA", along with all source code and game assets, licensed under the Microsoft Permissive License. The second half of the project will be the continuation of Level-Grind Online, an open-source MMORPG hosted and worked on by our staff and community, continuously adding new areas, monsters, items, and quests.
