View Full Version : DSG 1464: Sci-Fi/Character • LARGE MAN'S ARMS OPEN MECHANICALLY, REVEALING WEAPONRY

.
[ It's as if the outer-flesh was composed of large puzzle pieces that have expanded outward mechanically, making the hardcore hardware within visible. ]
[ ...Or it might be that panels of skin have popped open in a hinged way, and the guns are extending out of the inner cavities... ]
[ ...Or some other version of similar ideas. ]

hamsta: even though I like the composition in the corner, the blank area would need something to keep the balance. I like the pose though, like spidey but instead of webstuff, we have a gun popping out :D
Slugman love that banaman, especially the first image.
kawokami: love the comp of that image.
Loakers: now that is ONE BIG MAN . haha love the tiny head, might steal taht for my entry
sabastien: dont know what the hell im looking at but I love the colors and textures.
burrito: dynamicly cool.

johnisaacson: interesting drawing, hard to make out, but cool.
Here's my idea, his arm conceals a gallery of small handguns ( I need to study drawing some guns, cos I really suck at it).

I justify the mechanicalness with some claws underneath his skin to pull back and reveal teh drill.
I just realized that this is sort of a combination of two of the previous posts, this wasn't a copy i just started on and off working on it while they were posted o.o

Totally Vash the Stampede shooting a hole in the moon, yeah I got the Trigun thing too. I don't really like how it was handled with the hand popping down to hold the trigger *shrug*
Hamorhage I got lazy with the background, and I think you are too, even though a gradient generally has more depth than a blank bg.
I like the pose and the design of the character - the red clump of hair that ties into the red of the pants, the beefy body over the small legs, and the dynamic pose.
I think it would have been better to give the legs more atmospheric perspective, lose the detail, push them back, especially his right leg.
Shoulders look pasted onto the body.

different take on this to everyone else, but my first thoughts, basicly the guys arms are attached to a piston system to move them...

I like the ones that show the arm opening up in a 'logic' way, like among others Hamorhage, Mulm and Fpotugal did. Mine doesn't, it's a mess. Far_Flung, the swiss arm knife looks very useful:).
