I always have a heck of a time deciding when a piece is done. Don't know why, just do. There's *always* something to fix, finess or frak up.

So. With that in mind, I'd like your opinion, pah-leeze:

Is this thing *done*, or do I need to keep noodling it?

100% Painter 8, 'cept for the sky, which was done in PS7. So I suppose it's really 99% Painter 8, but who's counting?.

Here's the original pen sketch for gits and shiggles.

anyone notice that the truck looks a little sandcrawler-ish?

"A picture is never finished until you give up."

We can't answer that sort of question. It's entirely up to you.

I understand what you are saying.

*However* I'm looking for CC's: are there any issues that stand out on the piece that need to be addressed that I'm missing. Some things on it are bugging me, and I'm wondering if it's just me or if anyone else is catching them as well. The main issue that I have is the vehicle in the background. Something about it bothers me, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Looking at it fresh (and smaller) I think the perspective may be off.

Second opinion?

PS - Otherside, who's the quote by?

That's a good friggin' question man. I don't know. My head is filled wit all sorts of quotes that I don't remember the speaker.

Anyway, it's the back of the crawler that looks wierd. The top seems to sliding out of perspective. Bring your vanishing point back and that will help it.

Hi
Here are the things i think you could add.

I assume it is snow that the guy is walking on - not ice, because i see the deepp grooves. I only see the foot prints, but he is walking with 2 sticks. I think it would be proper to draw the print they made on the sides oth the foot prints.

other thing, the vehicle looks like it is on ice - it looks heavy so it should be set deeper into the snow. and it does look funky the way the perspective is shown.

anyway - heres the last small thing, on his right hand stick - theres a peice of rope i guess or a string, and its not on the left one.

You need to grey out your colors as they move into the distance. That goes for the vehicle, and especially the ground. The further back you go, the more neutral the colors become; until they are all the same shade of gray at the horizon. It's a little better on the right hand side of the image, than on the left; but they could both use a little work. That background's popping forward too much, and not blending with the sky.

You might want to put a little more work into the sky too.
