I'm probably making a stink out of a trivial issue, but Spawn toys kind of piss me off. I will fully amit that they are some of the best sculpted action figures on the market, and forced a lot of other companies that put out shit to raise the bar (nods to Star Wars:Unleashed), however, as a huge comic nerd it pisses me off that McFarlane and Image helped to screw up that industry in a lot of ways (though they did SOME good as well) and then he abandoned the medium for riches with toys and other entertainment. I'll buy the movie characters, but I don't want to shell out the $10 for the 75th version of a comic character the creator doesn't seem to give two shits about.

I'm sorry for ranting, I swear I'm not trying to be a dick, just discussing :D I'm kind of a stickler for principal on some things.

I agree with u but ... i'm not
an extrem collector who wants to have all figures... i just buy the ones i like, don't care about the others... for example i really like the Oz collection but i have only 2 or 3 Spawns and don't want spawn takin a beer, spawn on toilets, etc... u know what i mean ?;)
to speak about the price.. I know Mc Farlane has dollars in his eyes but all others figures are really expensive comparing to mc Farlane's...

I'm not really a big collector but 90% of my toys are spawn (currently I counted is 23) and also one big kimahri figure. :D I open all the boxes. I started since series 14, 4 years ago. I find the sculpt are fantastic and the paint job is superb for a mass produced toy, especially the latest series. It was my friend who got me really hooked when he introduces it to me and we started searching back its earlier series. 'Spawn the black heart' being my first spawn toy. I usually never buy the whole series only the main figures that I like. The only complete series I have is INTERLINK 6 which I receive as a gift from some of my friends. I also manage to buy one of the 12" mandarin spawn at a highly discounted price at a comic store. One problem is that I don't have much display area so they all ended up packed together. :(

Mc Farlane couldn't write a comic story to save his life, but he sure has some kick ass toys!
If you happen to rent the Terminator 3 DVD, watch the one with all the extras on it. There is a five minute interview with Mc Farlane about his T3 figures and how he feels about toys. He comes off as a raving lunatic nerd, but it's pretty funny.
