It's been a while since I last posted here, but I thought I'd share some of my recent stuff. Thanks for looking, critiques are always more than welcome and much appreciated! I finally feel potentially worthy to post here.

As of March 4th, I have added two more images- a sort of raygun gothic environment and a deep sea diving suit from 'Fathoms'. The ergonomics of the suit are iffy at best, but the actual character designs are somewhat stylized and may yet hide my sins.

The stuff looks awesome! Your rendering skills are beyond reproach.

If I had one critique, it'd be that, design-wise, much of the stuff feels like a simple box (or in the case of the car, a cylinder) with a lot of cool details stuck on. If it were me, I'd put a bit more consideration into the larger sculptural forms of the design before adding the "chrome."

You are awesome! What kind of pens are you using?!?! Must use pens that make me awesome. I tried the K-Mart you mentioned but they didn't have them! ;)

Juuuust kidding. Nothing constructive to say at this time, Mike. It's 2:40 AM and I'm still at work. lol I'll come back and see if I can muster up a crit (yea, right... me crit industrial drawings lol). But I just wanted to make sure my account was attached to the thread so I didn't have to dig for it again. And to give you a nice bump to the top of the FF section. ;) See ya in the morning.

Oh yea... this is Ryan if you hadn't figured it out just yet. :: wink ::

You've got such a good eye for pragmatic realism that really comes through in the design. I've been a fan for a while :). thanks for sharing!

Whoa, these are all awesome!
What really caught my eye is the commonwealth springbok. The longer you look at the more beautiful it becomes. You did a great job on the design, the lines fit perfectly harmonic and cool together, theres a well-balanced difference between wide spaces and detail areas, and the not-symmetrical weapons provide the necessary tension in the design. Neat!

Bumping for additional content.

Camara: Yes, I'm a very big fan of Kow Yokoyama's work. His work never got the exposure it deserved. There's a lot of Shoji Kawamori in there too, I must admit.

Giacomo: Again, you make a very good point. My next batch should include some more organic shapes as well. The Brutalism is a little relentless here, heh. XD

archipelago: Thank you. :)

Zebz: Sup, Ryan? Love the avatar!

steak-tron: Thank you, that's a high compliment from someone of your skills.

TheGnoll: Thank you, I hope to do more vehicle designs like those in the future. I seem to have this thing for vintage model box art right now...

Luminous: I'm flattered you remember me. :) That gig I did for you was a gateway to many things- Thank you.

aka sova: Well, I'm playing around with things- mixing up this and that. Not really 'Steampunk', but kind of a pulp sci-fi/WWII/Cold War Madlib... I guess the future just isn't what it used to be, heh.

caleb havertape: Thank you... I hope to do some more shortly.

JoshK: I'm flattered you remember that piece- I'm actually going to be doing a floating Art Deco city that utilizes something like those. Stay tuned!

Vyse: Thank you. I found a lot of inspiration in the work of the Suprematists and early Futurists in the way they angled geometric masses off each other to create movement and tension.

Again, thank you everybody. I just put up a couple new pieces and hope to have more up in the new few days.

The drawing and rendering are all but completely flawless but I agree that your designs could use some more work.
That walker/crawler thing in the first pic, for example, doesn't look like it would actually be able to move around very well in the real world.
But i will say this, that tiny tank is AWESOME!!! The driver's uniform is also very cool. By chance though, were you enspired by the old Metal Slug games?
