seb,
ive already accepted your challenge to do this traditionally. i accepted your challenge to do environs. I agreed to work within your conditions even though you think that I wont do anything but digital. Well here I am, willing to work within your comfort zone.
you see..i saw your post on sijun to craig mullins whom i greatly respect.
http://forums.sijun.com/viewtopic.php?p=340632#340632
in regards to the invitation made to craig participating here, you attempted to turn him away from doing so even though so many people here would want to see it and would benefit from it. The only people that lose out are the members who are here to learn and grow. what is your problem with that?
why would you tell craig not to participate here when so much good will come of it? Am I the only one who sees a problem with this mentality?
the spirit of this is out of fun and setting up a place where people can get to know each other and learn...a lot of people would love to see mullins go head to head with another pro.
obviously we have issues that need to be worked out...but for the rest it is just pure fun. i dont see why that is a bad thing. I dont see why you want to go and sabotage something that is obviously so important to a lot of people.
please dont go around discouraging people to not participate in the competition.. that is counter productive to a strong artistic community.
I love the sijun site. conceptart.org would not be here if it were not for that site. I read it. I enjoy it. Seeing your latest post was frusterating to say the least.
you dont see me going around and badmouthing you on other forums. In all honesty I would appreciate an apology. I dont expect to get one.
This is the kind of behavior you have continually exhibited in recent months. This is why I called you out. If you are going to be the spoiler and a man of big talk then I will go against you. As the founder of these forums I am the one who has to stand up to it.
I could have easily banned all of art center and all of dreamworks as well as your ip's. that would have solved the problem inside the site. that would not have helped anyone.
all i want is for this kind of stuff to stop. period. is that too much to ask?

Ok seb, three options;
1.Big group hug, grab your pencil and have some fun.
2. Group hug, but decide your not the competitive type- that’s cool
3.Or continue with the "Jerry Springer" like antics here and on sijun. I looked at your stuff. Your talented man, give us a treat
Remember those “Super Marvel Team-Up Comics”, where two superheros would mistakenly think the other was the villain and have a big battle and then later they would realize they’re on the same side. And then kick the snot out of the real villain. I like those comics alot.
Have fun guys

davi - this will happen. *mike takes nap*
mr milligan - i really respect your work and your great attitude(how you come across on the forums). thanks for the advice. as for the jerry springer style antics, i'm sure i and other people have gone overboard. again dan, thanks and i like your stuff. you make storyboards something that people want to print out and put on thier wall.
i've been busy working as i'm sure mr manley is as well. maybe we can do something over the weekend? i was thinking about several pieces of an entire environment, but due to time constraints, i'm sure that we can do something smaller. maybe hows about designing bits and pieces of a spacestation... maybe pseudo 60's modernist style? clean simple, easy to draw. not sure tho. could also be interesting to design a living compartment in a confined space... lets say a shipping container. or maybe we could design boats. i've recently gotten into dealing with them and its a fun, hardly drawn thing. but let me sleep on it.

SEB,
Thanks for the kind words and thanks for understanding what I said and the manner in which I meant it. I know sometimes peoples words get taken the wrong way. But let me say this, Mike, by stepping up and clearing the air says a lot about you. Congratulations, I think you taught a us all a very valuable lesson.
Peace
