Bowl of Alien Fruits

Sorry...

I didn't want to post this... but I guess it doesn't matter. Not happy with it at all, might redo it.

GrimRabbit - It reminds me of "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes." I really like the veiny texture.

FinalKnight - I like the characters. The scene looks like something you might see while playing with night vision goggles and inhaling a bit too much laughing gas.

This is my first-ish attempt at photoshop painting. I've colored in some drawings from my sketchbook before but never tried anything like this. It's also my first DSG attempt.

I didn't realize how small it was when I started drawing and now my bowl looks jagged. Anyway, it was a good learning process. Thanks for looking.

Denzo - You're orange colored fruit looks great, sort of the same texture I was trying trying on my yellow one but you executed it great. The roots(?) are really really well done. I love the depth they add.

Ryoken - It looks like all of the pieces could just come to life at any minute. Reminded me of what could be part of the graphic novel to Monster's Inc. for some reason.

Awesome work, Edward.

Alien produce is tough because there are so many fruits that are already weird looking. I work in a grocery store that is known for it's massive produce section and I frequently see odd things like lychee, Buddha's Hand, oyster mushrooms, and ginger root.
