rules:


- non-human warrior (but can be 'humaniod' (like an orc)) -

- any amount of arms/legs -

- tribal theme -

- NO background (except maybe 1/2 colours), just the warrior -

- ONLY 1 normal, main piece(see below too). at least 1 typical stance(eg. in action, slaying etc), and at least 2 close ups of details or other features/info -

- the main pose MUST be a finished piece and be full boddied (no croping), the others can be sketches and be cropped if needed -

- the main pose MUST be a full colour rendering. the others are optional -

- any media can be used -

- the warrior must have at least one weapon, big or small. and a concept of that weapon. plus it must be shown in at least one of the two poses (final and action) -

i've dicided to go with a tribal gorilla, complete with face tattoos and a rusty 9inch blade!!

ok lavhoes, i went down to my local pet store to look for the meenest looking gorilla i could find. and i came home with "fluffy"!!
say hello to fluffy, lavhoes!!!! :D

ok, heres a sketch for my tribal gorilla. just the outlines first to get an idea for the pose. i'm gonna go into it now to add the details and face tattoos.

Looks very cool. I especially like the sketch of the gorilla walking. In that one frame it has an amasing sense of weight. I'm really looking forward to seing this one finished now :)

hi lavhoes (;)) just a small point on the rules.

we have to have at least one weapon for our warrior, and we have to have a single concept on its own for that weapon. but we havent specified wheather any of the poses need to show the weapon.

so i was thinking that the main pose (the fully rendered one) doesnt need to show the weapon, but the action pose must show it in action?

what d'you think?

If you'd like, but only if it's optional. I kinda wanna have the weapon included in my final piece, or something like it. I wouldn't want to go to all the trouble of designing a weapon only to not use it.
