City of Mages

Scouts were dispatched to the city to the far north, an ancient city built upon a sumit of power. Those with magic in their blood seek it out where they can practice their inate gifts without fear of beheading and public dismemberment.
Long colored cloth of the ruleing class mark buildings of importance, but the asthetics of the city are seemingly conflicted, it is a collection of the worlds magic underclasses built one ontop of the other for thousands of years.

I came here to see if anything had started again, and it had. Cool. What time with the thumbs? A lot (if any) will see this today and want to participate, but I wouldn't expect a huge turnout for this one, as it's not been up for a while.

Maybe a little too quick and thoughtless, I was thinking of showing a huge power source that could have been constructed of by people wielding magical power.

Ok Well this sounds like it could get interesting. How detailed to the thumbs need to be, and is there a certain size to stick with? Also, is there a minimum number required?

I am going to join this after my exam, so if you put my chracter in your city I will put your character in my city, I really liked to draw your techno-mage last time in the "Overlords return" - too bad it never got judged. It's a great idea to put other peoples characters in the cities, if anyone else want to have their character included in my city aswell, please tell. :)

Righto... got me a thumb... very tentative at the moment, but it seems a helluva lot better than my other ideas... I've decided on demonstrating the undercity, where anything can be bought (One of the temple "ladies of the evening" is a lich or zombie of some kind, for example, and the poison shop is displayed openly.)

I'm hoping to be able to create a city tomorrow and detail the character. Maybe i'll change her pose a little bit and give her a wand or something. I'm not certain about her cloth yet, a robe will hide the legs, but jeans doesn't feel right for a mage.

You also may notice that this is a WoW based character, a daenei. I know it is supposed to be on the good side, but I can't draw her as good with my idea.

I got to hear from chaosrocks that it might start up again.


Alti and I got rather busy with other things. It was a really fun Idea though. might be worth resurecting... in the meantime you all could hone your skills in the weelkly and daily activities, or just challenge each other for fun.... I would be happy to supervise as master of the lists or something. there is a whole section of the forum set up for these activities.


So if anyone might be up for the Headhunters guild duel, I might be able to join in. :)
