Capt.Harlock vs OLSEN

Character and creature design.

The year is 1150 in a parallel universe where insects rule the earth. The world shares the exact same history, the same religions and so on as ours, the only difference is that all the people and all the animals are insects, although the fact that people are insects should show in their cultural symbols and tools.

The task is to design a fully armored crusading knight, riding his best warbug.

A warbug is the insect version of a warhorse, and the crusading knight must of course not be human, since everything is insect. The armour can either be a natural part of the character, handmade plate, a combination, or whatever we want. The character must however be mounted on the warbug, ready to kick ass in the name of the one true God.

Any and all medias allowed, greyscale or color. Background is optional. No taglines or descriptive written text is allowed in the final images or posts.

Great subject too, love the "Warbug" idea.

ok this was done all in pencil about 35 minutes. game over i win. time to pack up OLSEN: ha!

whats your thought on posting WIP thumbnails here?

Nice doodle you got there, the eyes of the warbug are great.

I threw this together just now, it´s a warrior bug from the holy land. I thought our crusaders needed something to fight.
