Hey guys. New to the forums. Decided to join for a few reasons. 1) Cause there are some freaking sweet artists on here. 2) To kind of network once I get a better portfolio created 3) To improve 4) My teacher recommended I become a forum (see reason #1)

So yeah. I'm an animation major (3D) right now. First year. I'm learning Maya. I've been doodling on Photoshop for the past three or so years but I've been drawing since I could walk. I'm trying really hard to work on proportions especially when goofy perspective is involved. I'm taking Life Drawing this semester. It's really helping I think. I'll try to photograph some stuff. It's mostly like 5 minute poses but some turned out pretty good. It's time consuming to take photos and resize and color correct and such so I might wait a while.

In here I'm mostly going to be posting WIPs of things I want to finish. And just random sketches and such. Character ideas. I'd really like to get into concept work for characters and possibly environments in the future. Modeling is fun too. But I love to draw. Period. Haha. So yeah.

I'll post some stuff here soon. Feel free to comment, critique, confess, command, collaborate, consume, etc. I can learn a lot from you guys and I'm planning on doing so. :)

Ok, so here's the first couple of doodles. A few months old. Told myself I was going to finish every single piece of art I start this year. So far...not so good. Haha. But it's a start. I've kind of moved on from these two. I might revisit.

Comment. Critique. Take from it what you will. :)

Peace.

So here's some recent life drawings I did for my life drawing class. A 1 min, a 3 min, and a 5 min. Nothing special. But fun. Just done with a ball point pen.

It's been forever since I logged on. D: Holy cow. I have quite a bit of things I'd like to post. So... I'll do that. I guess.

Sorry for the huge amount of images. I'll try to split these up as much as I can. But I don't want to spam one picture posts every minute. So here's one chunk.

Comments and critiques are more than welcome.

Peace. :)

WOW!
Some really REALLY neat concepts here, I love the pic of the smarmy looking Fawn up there (or... um, the horned thingie at the end, if its not a Fawn haha)
Your painting style is very good, but could be better defined. More the edges of the paintings, but they're still wonderful and very clear even without some outer definition. Your gesture drawings and studies are fluid and show a lot of promise, and a good concept of proper proportioning.

Faboo! I can't wait to see more work from you! :)

Thanks. Yeah, I have a bit of trouble refining the painting once I get basic colors and shading down. I am trying to work on it. Thanks for your comments, they're very nice! :)

Ugh, I feel like my sketches are so static. It's frustrating. And I know that if I just keep sketching that it'll hopefully get better and if I make a conscious effort to make them... not static...it should work, right?

Any suggestions?

In any case. Here's some recent stuff. Still static. Still shmah. :/
