....I've had an illicit affair with lazyness and slacking off, but it ends now, they're dirty bitchs....I guess part of it i can blame on being sick and not feeling well.., but meh! i shouldnt let that keep me from drawing, but i guess no matter how hard you fall, its just a matter of picking your self up again.......Got a pile of life drawings from school this year, wanted to clear out my locker, looking back at these hit me, i need to strive for more and bigger strides.... sorry for the dumpage....they vary from 1mins all through to 20/30mins... different instructors, different approachs, different tool sets pretty fun...

they're from 2.2.09 to 12.3.09 ... pb mixed up the order, ahh well

Wow! I love your moleskine sketches so much , I bought two of the small ones about a year ago and I had no idea they were so popular. I carry it with me everywhere..I should take some pictures of the first one I filled up. I also have been so uncreative with how I sketch in it,never thought to draw across both pages like that , it has a really awesome effect.
I want to say I think your gesture drawings are even cooler when you do them from imagination than from reference :) Good compliment to your imagination. Keep up the great work!

janos: hehe thanx, ummm i sometimes when i use watercolour, i use more paint then water, so it may be quite opaque when i apply it, or just use very sparse bits of it, like you can have a normal wash but use little of it or try dampening the brush into a seperate bit of scrap paper or something, but since its moleskin hehe its awesome paper but its not indestructible and its not made for watercolour, so it does tend to buckle... dunno if thats the right way or not hehe but i hope that helps somehow

Hey man, you're following the best path to getting great at drawing. It's great to see that you're focus.
Don't forget to apply this very same things that you're learning to the drawings that you make for pleasure; for this is the best way to actually incorporate this techniques fast.

hey i really like your life drawings and those 30 posemaniac swipes looks really nice. Some of your studies look a bit overdone in features etc. it is probably an exercise for you to enhance muscles, bones etc? that doesn't really bother me, but if i would have to give some critics, your sketchy lines could be a bit too rounded and seems to make your sketches a bit loose. It could be my taste, but i would suggest to try balancing it with some harder straight lines to make your sketches look solid. Not too much though. i wouldn't know much better. i saw your eye step by step painting which looked alright, but perhaps practice more on skin tone? hard to tell by these sketches here as I haven't seen much other work yet :)

Also, the moleskine works are impressing, full of strength and personality. Maybe you could work more on colour.
