Magnum Apparatus (literally, "Great Machine") is an attempt to create a freeware real-time strategy game of commercial quality. The engine is currently evolving graphics features, and we require artists of all sorts to start creating art for the game.
In the near future, an alien race discovers that an ancient artifact called the Magnum Apparatus is buried deep within the earth's core. A direct assault on earth in order to obtain the artifact would make other alien races suspicious, and so the aliens electronically take control of Russia's nuclear arsenal and bake most of the planet. The game involves the earth as a battleground between the remaining Russian armed forces, alien forces sent to the surface in order to secure the artifact, and a third race of aliens who are on to the dark secret.
Magnum Apparatus is for the Windows platform only, using DirectX 9 and a custom game engine.

Concept artists - Responsibilities include creating and illustrating concepts for human and alien races, technology, vehicles, buildings and game environments.
3D Modelers - Use what ever tools you're comfortable with to create low-poly models for use as in-game assets. Needed are buildings, environment objects, infantry units and vehicles.
Texture artists - Paint high-quality textures for map and to UV-map to models.

David - Our magnificently talented lead writer/game designer.
Drift - Our magnificently talented concept artist.
