A personal commission that I boldly took on, amidst a rotten term of schoolwork; I enjoyed this so much :]
Eclipse.
Softening upon a hard ground
waking rusted shredding ancestors
Loftyness, heathen, spoke unto me.
Why call out now
for what lies in the pathway
Not an obstacle - a misused, untrusted, emblem
Ellipse.

Very nice. Can't see the details to well though. Some areas could be darkened more.

It's so light that it's a little hard to see, and almost has a little bit of a blinding effect, but that doesn't bother me too much. I think the colors you used, and the way you used them, is wonderful! The piece is kinda surrealistic (in my opinion) and very beautiful!

Laura if ya can post us a bigger pic of this and if you have photoshop try to increase the contrast value just a tad to bring a bit more of it out for us.

Thank you all for the advice about the contrast - I admit that it's almost blinding in parts. I guess, I still have no 'nail' the darker tones. When I get a chance I'll up the contrast and dark tones in Photoshop :] And I'll concentrate more on the -black- in future pieces.
And, yeah!! Dali!!!
Edit: Okay - almost forgot; you'll find some detail shots on this page: detailies (http://www.iownthesun.com/art/druryfalls_det.html)
