Pocket Diaz Games:
I am in charge of a board game development that requires contract artwork. The style of the graphics should be comparable to Twilight Creation’s Zombies!!! Board game series with Magic the Gathering style cards.
Project name:
Temp Title: Blvd of the Dead Alt: Dead End
Brief description:
We have play tested 9 versions of our game and have decided on a near final version. We are producing a new zombie based board game that features original gameplay. We plan on paying the first print run of our product ourselves. At this stage in the game I am in contact with a local publishing company that is working with us to develop the game.
We strive to make a product that is expandable, affordable, referential to the genre, and visually appealing. After the print release we plan on developing a simple flash game with the same graphics so the project is an entryway into possible other projects.
Specifications
The pieces I require include the layout of a Risk size board game of a single small town city block with multiple buildings and shops laid out along the bottom and top of a horizontal city block with a barricade and a mall at the ends.
I will also require 8 special Clue-like character card bios.
In addition, I am looking for someone to produce 1 layout that can be applied to all the cards.
Target aim:
Currently we have contacted Twilight Creations, makers of the Zombies!! board game, who are receptive to picking up our product. After we have the complete printed versions we plan on aggressively marketing it on Ebay, Facebook, Myspace, and a website. Long term we would like to commerically offer it as a specialty item and then turn it into a flash game.
Compensation:
The entire cost of the game development will come from a lowly public school teacher's savings. I am willing to negotiate with interested parties in offering a small percentage of yearly profits, design credit, and experience. Ideally, we're hoping to offer a porfolio piece for artists to shop around as produced work.
However, we are willing to contract the work to professionals willing to work with us. We are currently accepting bids for design and artwork.
