Looking for comments and suggestions on this WIP... I am still new to digi painting so all of my pictures seem to be WIP.

Updated: i need to fix the perspective of the gun... Any help on how to give my piece a mood would be appreciated

I think you could drop some colors in the whole to establish a mood.....then if like it put some values and finally refine it.
About the linework i like it but the pose isn`t strong enougf for a pirate........do you know what i mean?
it`s like you`re trying to hide his hand.......
well i hope you find it usefull......

in the sketch he was going to have a second pistol but i was not sure about the shape and was looking for ref.

Looks good, but I too would try to do something with the other hand. Much too many times do people sketch the hand behind something or some object for the reason of not wanting to or not wanting to put the time in. Which I'm not trying to say that or label you as that type of person, but other people may get that impression, so be careful.

Keep working on it though and post updates.
