In addition to this, participants can choose to do a Optional Study of "Forest", in any media. Black and White or Colour is fine.

I'm on halfway with these. It took some time to get the hang of it because it has been so long since I have done something like this and this much of it.
And that forest. I love to draw trees and that kind of stuff but was wondering if I should make something specific like forest up in the mountains. This forum makes me wanna try new things every day.

Maria David; Sure! But don't stretch yourself, you may learn less from rushing things. You can also just post the ones you have. Going for 50 poses is just a 'goal', I find that having a deadline and some structure keeps me focused.
About the optional study: anything goes. You can go for a colour study, practice values, do some concepting. "Forest" is more of a guideline.
Looking forward to seeing your gestures! And have fun, most importantly.
Bit of a quick optional for me ;[

Here's my go. Didn't make it to 50, just almost half-way...but it's still practice =)
Can reference be used for the gestures, or should they all be straight from the imagination?

Chate Noire; Wonderful poses! Some really seem to be moving, like the boxer (small). Nice attention to those flexed muscles. The men seem more solid than the women. Or perhaps you started with the women and had to warm up. On the occasion, your heads may be too small. Notice that the males from imagination seem to have a more muscular torso and/or thinner waist than your reffed ones.
Actually, mixing ref and imagination for comparison seems like a great method. Guess that's a lesson for me.
Great poses man, I can learn from you.

Thanks Anthis!
Yeah, I guess it's clear I started practicing anatomy with an influence from the comic book industry =) Small heads, impossibly muscled/skinny figures...they really throw proportions to the wind sometimes.
Now you mention it, mixing ref and imagination in the same sitting really helps to focus on the areas you *thought* you knew. Good exercise.
Your poses look awesome, and very diverse. Do you work from reference? If so, do you have any links or ideas for places to find such interesting poses?
