Hiya all, I've lurked for a long time, and finally decided to get brave and show some work.
I painted this guy on and off for the last couple days. I'm almost done with him, just looking for some C&C before I finish. Then I have to design his companion, Guildenstern.

Oh, and just to avoid confusion, the opposite edges on his knives are supposed to be the dull side (the inside edge on one blade, the outside edge on the other). One is for slashing, the other is for hooking/gutting, etc.

i like it BUT:
his left hand + the knife he is holding looks flat

some more shadows would be nice too, but hell, i'm a noob at everything so don't believe me (i could be wrong )

i have to disageree with you on the left hand looking flat, i think its just fine, the only real error i can see with the picture is the way his legs are placed on the plane, i think they look a bit off, particulairly the right one. Othe than that good job.

have you read "rosencrantz and guildenstern are dead" by stoppard?
you should...
as for the pic...weird
and why the names?

I love that play, that's why I named him thus, as well as his companion Guildenstern who is in the works. I intend to do some 3d models of them, and if time permits, an animation similar to the play.

I thought this was going to be a fanart of the Rosencrantz from Vagrant Story. That's my favorite game :D

But I love this piece. Very creative. I havn't read that book though.

I always thought Rosencratz to be a man when I read Hamlet.. Interesting Interpretation =P I really like the colors here.

Yeah thanks for reminding me. I forgot where else those two names were used :)

I'd like to also mention that I love the knives.

The problem is definetly with his legs and feet...

The biggest improvement I can see is his right (our left) foot needs to be turned outward more.

Nice coloring and concept, though. :)
