You read the topic correctly. We are currently looking for a concept artist for an indie game that involves the old west, zombies, and it's a musical. Most of the game revolves around the gold rush, and the origins of the 'Day of the Dead' rituals. I can supply more details under NDA.

We are looking for someone with a style similar to this:
http://jahlux.com/fatJoeProcessB.jpg

Realistic clothing and prop design with caricature facial and body features.

We hope to be able to pay on a per concept basis, involving a thumbnail, rough, and final conceptual stage. All inclusive of that process, we are looking at a 50-75$ US per black and white concept item. Please note there are several dozen characters needed, so this was posted in both the standard thread and the under 500$ thread depending on how many pieces one artist handles. If one artist is chosen for all the work, it will total over 500$ for the lifetime of the project.

Environmental experience is a plus, however character art is the main priority. Please respond via email if possible including examples of your work; m.borderdown@gmail.com

Or send a private message.

Thanks,

The Cliffside Team!

Please respond to this posting with a portfolio link or examples of your work.

Downsizer, usually it's not a great idea to have people posting portfolio links in a thread for the reasons stated in this thread:
http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=149892
It quickly gets out of hand, even on threads that have other contact information. Better would probably be to direct them to an email. However if you REALLY want to handle this job this way I ask that you notify a mod when you have the people you need so we can close the thread. Otherwise we'll have a multi page thread that never dies that just continues to haunt the front page LONG after you've stopped watching it.

Edit: I just noticed you also posted the same thing posted in the small freelance jobs. Double the invitation to clutter the forums :(
It would be really nice if you decided if this is a small freelance or a large one and delete one thread, especially since you're asking people to keep bumping the thread with portfolio links. Doing that in both forums is a little much considering the forums are meant to give every artist a chance to see what's here, and every employer a chance to be seen.

Understood.

I will ask a mod to close the thread when a suitable candidate has been found. I had simply assumed that was the process.

Thanks.

Hello, the style of the example is very similar to what I do when I draw not realistic characters: either in the process and in the final result.

So please, visit my galleries and, if interested, contact me with a PM.
