Just glancing around, I don't see any mention of people going to the New York Comic Con this weekend. I'm sure there were some other CA members that couldn't resist such a potent concentration of geekery.

I didn't realize Marko and Android would be there. To my eternal shame, something along the lines of "OMG UR SO COOL" may have slipped out. They tried to hustle me pretty hard but I managed to walk away with cash in hand.

So who else went/made an ass of themselves?

I was at NYCC this weekend too. It was a good one, though I was grouchy at the lack of a Battlestar Galactica event, but that's because I'm an enormous geek.

I'm actually terribly proud that I managed to get out with money still left in my bank account. Whee! That's a first. I did spend a ridiculous amount of money at an art supply booth on these really wicked Pentel brush pens, but they're not felt tip they're really brushes. I fell in love and promptly spent all the money in my pocket buying different colors.

I didn't see ya, James. But I guess that's not a big surprise with Comic Con being the size of a whole town. How did your portfolio review go? I can't wait until I'm good enough to actually attend one.

I was helping out at a friend's booth a lot of the weekend. He has a podcast called Comic News Insider. And in return for working the booth I totally got a press pass to the con!....which didn't really do anything except make me feel overly important. It was fun though.

LOL! No way! Yeah I was there on Saturday. Sunday too. I just missed Friday because I was at The Met. Which guy with the British accent? There were a surprising number.

This is me. I'm sure we saw each other. I was around all weekend. It's such a small world isn't it?

I was there as well for a Wizards portfolio review. Damn, I should have hung out near the reviewing areas more and talked to people, but, well, there was a lot to see. So many Princess Leia slave girls...

haha, yea. It went pretty well, I wasn't hired on the spot but they gave me a ton of advice that i'll be posting up in my sketchbook, and it ended with "re-arrange your portfolio, resend it and we will be talking very soon :)" :D...though they didn't specify how soon lol

timpaatkins: Oooh! I thought you meant you worked at the Comic News Insider booth and couldn't figure out how I could have missed you. I don't think I saw you at the Blick booth. There were two women there when I stopped by and gave that booth all my money.
