Hey, I'm a Computer Graphics major but I don't have the greatest hand art skill so I had decided a while back to start working on it. Here are 3 selected pictures I scanned in, the first is my most recent, I drew it yesterday, the other two are over a month old. I want to improve so have at me ! :) Be nice a little though, cause I just got back into drawing and I think I am imporoving... as my first pick to the other two which are months old.

Pick up a book or five and study your ass off. It's good to see people who are involved with computer graphics get into drawing (never happens at my school, only the other way around.) My list is Burne Hogarth's Dynamic series (Figure drawing, anatomy, hands, head, wrinkles) or Brigdeman's Drawing from Life (or something rather.)
Starting out from life is very difficult if you don't know what's under the skin and how it works, and drawing anime doesn't help at all. The great thing about Hogarth and Bridgeman is they show you the masses of the body and how it's constructed without going into every tiny muscle under the skin and such... They do, but they offer you the masses first. All of the extensors and flexors are just too much for people who are starting out. After you get a decent grasp of the form and how it functions, try to pick up Grey's Anatomy and applying it. Don't get too much into details to start out, you'll just lose yourself. If you can draw and understande the human body in space, you can draw anything.
Good luck with this.

Thanks for the criticism and you're right about Graphic art students and vice versa. Thats why I thought I should have a decent grasp of concept art to show off.
I didn't draw for the longest time and I just now am getting where I once was and I want to do much better, like you said, getting the anatomy down. Thanks for the book recommendations because that is exactly what I was asking in another thread on Tips & Tricks.
