Digital painter needed for comic books backgrounds / Besoin d'un peintre digital pour arriere-plans de bande dessinée.
Studio drowtales is looking for an artist skilled in the domain of digital painting to fill in a position as background artist. This involve creating concept arts of locations during pre-production, painting the scenes of the pages during production and participating in the creation of promotional artwork when time allows.
For online-only hiring: We accept artist from any country in the world. Monthly payment in USD currency to be sent via Paypal if the artist live in a supported country, or via Xoom or wire bank transfer when paypal is not supported. You will need to be able to produce a minimum of 5 pages backgrounds each week, to be available for discussions, meet tight deadline and work with an extended team during pre-production to help develop locations. Communication is essential and thus you will be asked to provide an email address, IM username and phone number.
This is not an one time project, as our company has produced comic books for 8 years now and is continuing to do so. While we can accept contract of only a year , a more permanent commitment would be much prefered.
Payment per background/concept vary based on the difficulty and the efforts put into them, ranging from 10$ to 80$ each.
For local employement: If you live in the province of Québec, Canada then it is possible to hire you for a more dedicated job with our local team. Salary is to be discussed, work is all that is noted above plus extra projects depending on your availability. If you live in a different city, you would be expected to meet with us for a lenght of time every year so that you may participate more actively in pre-production. If you live in Saguenay or you are willing to relocate, then you would be expected to work in our studio at least 1 day a week at the beginning, while the rest of the time is spent at your home working freelance style.
For this type of employement, you need to be able to communicate in french as well.

Le reste des journée de travaille de la semaine peuvent être fait a votre domicile de facont indépendante.
