As the tittle suggests what is your desert of choice?
Myself I am a cheese cake kinda girl creamy, thick, and just plain yummy.
So I am starting this thread to see what you people have a taste for, what you would die for, and what you wish didn't even exist on the menu?
Tell me what your taste buds COMMAND :D

Chocolate chocolate chocolate. Whether it's ice cream, cake, pie, or a plain bar.
If it has or IS chocolate, expect it to disappear under a minute.
Of course, what I don't like on my dessert is coconut. I'd take strawberry, banana, or any other fruit, but I will turn away from coconut.
No offense to coconut people.

This is relevant to my interests. In fact, if I weren't so in love with art, I'd probably be going to culinary school.
I am addicted to food blogs like Orangette (http://orangette.blogspot.com/) and FXcuisine
(http://fxcuisine.com/Default.asp?language=2)
Generally anything sweet is good for me... sometimes a fruity confection or a creamy truffle is all you need to be happy!
You know what I want to make? Creme brulee. It's absolutely delectable, but I've never made it!

Oh come on. If there's anyone who beat the French at pretty tastelessness, it's the Japanese. I had some of the things you just posted, and IMHO, they they taste like chalk.
I give you the most awesome, most ugly, tasty thing on the planet...
the deep fried Twinkie.
PS. What the hell is the seaweed doing there? It's got an interesting texture, but it's not the least bit sweet. If we're going to post random snacks, at least have the decency to post the far superior dried squid.

I definitely agree with the taste thing, Zaxter, but I felt too bad about it to say that. It's all about the novelty factor.
Conversely, the thought of a deep-fried twinkie makes my arteries ache.

Ooh, I love cheesecake. I had cheesecake cupcakes for my birthday once, and they were to die for.
Key lime pie is another goodie. As is angel food cake. As is strawberry shortcake. If any of you ever find yourself in the little coastal town of Cayucos, California, there's one restaurant you have to find. It's a little local place, with a bunch of hats hanging from the ceiling, and it serves huge plates of the best strawberry shortcake I've ever had. Mmm! Can't remember the name of the place, unfortunately, but Cayucos isn't very big.:)
My favorite desert of all, though, is my aunt's carrot cake. Golly, is that good. I find myself taking extra-large bites just to get as much flavor in my mouth as possible.:D

Effervescent soft drink tablets. Like flavored Alka Seltzer. Cheaper than a can of soft drink, no sugar and has vitamin c. The best thing about these is you don't just have to put them in water, but put 2 root beer flavored ones in your milk and it tastes like a root beer float.
Blondies from Apple Bees are very good.
Other than that I think I'm the only person who actually hates sweet tasting things, and never have a craving for them. So all these pictures of Ice Cream... Really not doin' it for me.
