I see people have voted without responding, so I will comment. First, maybe the poll should be "Like, Needs work, and Don't like". I would have voted on Needs work. It's not a bad composistion, it is just lacking "umph!" and the story isn't coming out. I am not an artist by trade, so I can't really say "This is why...." My untrained eye says, that they are kind of static, maybe exagerate teh pose a bit more. Let the story come out in the lighting and intensity. Did they just get busted, if so make the spotlight and lasers on them more bright and darken the surrounding areas. My 2c. Good start though.

At general I like the work but looking closer many flaws pop up.

Your foreground chars look a bit flat and too dull in comparison with the background boxes.
Also when you look at the guns of the woman a sort of wrong perspective pops up, maybe you just copyd the 2th gun to the left hand of her and just rotated it a bit.

I don't like the lasers, they dont seem to have a burnpoint on the persons clothes. Also they run too parallel with eachother, maybe you should make a outline of the whole composition and from that point add laserlines to enhance the composition.

Hey, masterchen,

I'd have to agree with the above. You need to add more depth to this piece before carrying on. The female characters face needs adjusting abit. Her lips seem to be floating over her face, than actually being connected, make the angle more clearer, add more cheek to her face on her left side. This way the lips won't look weird.
I also think, you should move the red beams off the picture?? I dunno... or have them going in the direction of the boxes behind them??? I think your trying to get across the fact they are surrounded by people infront of them???, but it also looks like they are being shot at, and they have no entry wounds.
Apart from that, I hope you complete this pic more, is cool otherwise...

Sorry to tip the polls against you but..... well the pic is nice, but still it looks well, kinda boring..... don't think that i dont like still life but that looks like the combination that should never exist.... sorry about being so rash.

Edit: The lasers i think ruin it

Hmm... It's ok...
But what the hell happened to those bullets in the boxes. Someone fired a burst and later put some unfired bullets into the holes?
Most type of bullets will go through the boxes and when you fire a bullet only the tip of it will be fired.

With some more work this could be a fine pic.

flat/conventional concept. the characters don't have much personality... the way you posed and designed them is just another repetition of something that's being repeated countless times before... and where the laser points bothers me along other small deatils you add trying to reinforce the piece..

I think the laser sight on the croche is a bit childish maybe try cross over some laser sights and work on your porporsion for the guys body your upper body is way to small compared to you lower half and the girl face need to have a bit my roundness to it. those are my thoughts.

Overall, I like this picture, however I think there are certain aspects of the characters facial proportions that sorta bring

down the picture, perhaps try making the lasers a bit less opaque and more transparent, and the thing that somewhat

confused me is the fact that there are bullets in the boxes above, and theyre pretty much stuck in the box itself, it is

somewhat unrealistic considering the impulse of a bullet hitting a wooden box.

excellent,

thanks for the feedback, couple of very useful tips mentioned here that I would not have noticed otherwise.
