I love the ability to smoothly rotate the canvas in painter.

Can I use a broad flat brush to work one direction, then rotate the canvas and change the direction of my brush stroke? I can't seem to do this - am I missing something?

Can I do this without the 3d Pen? I have a Wacom Graphire.

What I'd like to do is cross hatch with the fan brush by rotating the canvas. Do I have to rotate the canvas the hard way to get the brush orientation to change?

I don't think the 3D/Art Marker pen works on the Graphire. Only on Intuos3 and Cintiq.

I also don't think that you can change the brush stroke by rotating the canvas unfortunately.

No, as Fes sez, most brushes stay orientated to the canvas, not the screen. This leads to an odd situation when using brush ghosting. The Scratchboard Rake will rotate, however; you could look at that for crosshatching. Of course there are a few more options with the 6D Art Pen.

i think the best solution is to open up brush properties>angle and put beside ur canvas, changing the angle in that box while working.. well its better than ctrl B lol
