Hey. Welcome to conceptart. I am a newcomer here too. Great to see you join in on the sketchbook.
I really like your sketches. Especially the drapery looks good. I suggest you use Burne Hogarth's book 'Drawing Dynamic Hands' for reference, its really good.
Since I am a rookie, I really can't say much. But I look forward to seeing more updates :)
Adios

your approach is lookin pretty seriuos. good start, I've recently upped the gears on my artistic journey too.
Tbh scrap the manequin, their pants, it just gives you some bad habits for structuring human anatomy. If your struggling with this do some 30 second posemaniac poses, or hit up some bridgman.. The cat drawing from life looks a lot more useful.
anyway just keep cracking at tthis routine. I't might take a while till you ifn out whats best for your learning, but workng from life will always top mostly anything.

Kitteh! Is it that your own cat?
Very nice life studies, especially the railway. Landscapes still intimidate me.
I'm curious what is wrong with the wooden manikin? I never found it useful myself, to be honest, but why was it invented and why was it discovered to be bad?

Sweeeet update; your hatching is terrific, and I see you've improved a great deal over the course of a year. Keep up the hard work, it's paying off
