I don't want to give the impression I don't like the newer features, cause I think they're extremely good enhancements. But they've got a couple of silly shortcomings I'd like to address:
Firstly, the gallery section has about six categories, but none of them is 'search'. So unless I happen to know what somebody's icon is (thank you Rich for being the only person with a useful icon - guaranteed most page views) then the gallery is 90% useless to me. Several friends have tried to find my work and abandoned looking at CA, when they could have kept exploring and played with the groups function or whatever.
Secondly, the 'search' function is linked through the front page but there's no button up the top for it. So you have to know that the url is conceptart.org/search to work it out. Any chance we can lose one of the useless links like 'chat' up there and put the lovely new search tool up there instead? I know I never go to the front page and I suspect many people are the same. Chat is useful to about ten people and doesn't help anybody progress professionally. The 'search' function is truly useful to everyone.
Thanks, and hopefully a few other people have already thought the same thing.
