Hey everyone!

I created this board game as my degree work, when I finished my masters in graphic design and illustration three years ago. I worked together with game designers and there was a sculptor, who helped the casting of the figures, but beside that I have made the whole game from the figures till a fully detailed guidebook.
It seemed that something starting with a german game publisher, but after about a year of emailing and trying to discuss through the legal things, the whole case just died somehow. Nobody wants cute goblins nowadays... :(

Now I started to sort out my old works and I thought I will post it up to the community.

The first 3 pictures are illustrations for the background story, after that you will find 12 character illustrations also for the guidebook and the board. After these I attached some pictures about the whole game in it`s beautiful rosewood box and about the small figures (they size is between 4,5 and 6 cm).

Hope you like it and any comments are more than welcome!

Cheers,

Feels very complete with the illustrations, box and stuff.

I'm not familiar with the rules of course, but it seems like the various units are somewhat difficult to tell apart at a glance.

How much detail would you say gets lost when you cast stuff yourself? Is it resin? You figures are pretty round and bulbous, so I'm guessing you didn't have much problems with lost details.

What are the rules and objectives?
Cost?
Target audience?
Media usage (how will it be advertised)?
Competitors?
Competitive advantage?
SWOT Analysis?
Target users demographics and psychographics?
Corporate and competitive environment?

prometheusanj:
the rules are pretty simple. each types of figures has an ability and each of them has a certain amount of step per round. there are seven magical crystals located in the middle of the board - the team what can capture 4 crystals is the winner.
the main idea was to fill out the gap between an average board game and the classic Games Workshop type miniature games. the whole game is like a bit more complicated chess match

about the casting: it was quiet tricky to produce the masterpieces - we have made the figures from a special sculptor wax to establish the main proportions. after that came the cast using silicon base and some kinda weird special plaster what has the same hardness as porcelain after it dries out totally. we have needed this step, because it was much less time consuming to carve the smaller details instead of spending weeks with the actual sculpting.
I have two main prototype sets, the first is the original carved pieces hand painted, and we have made a cast of the originals and made a set of plastic figures as well (what are not so heavy and fragile).
I know its not the most professional way to create miniatures, but I really enjoyed to go through the whole process... :-)

morgothaod: hah dude! I can`t believe there are some marketing people over here... good questions though! :-)

I have thought through and written down most of these, but some of them are the `task` of a future publisher I think...
if you are really interested (I mean in the publishing side of the game), feel free to PM me and I can happily send you the complete documentation and basic business plan of the project.
