Yummy. I hope my bloody firewall issue gets fixed so I can play the game. *snif* I am currently living in gamer hell: can't play any online games due to school firewall. ;_; Beautiful shots. *drools* I <3 Warcraft.

Yeah, that game looks incredible (visually)
I like that blizzard cartoony-but-not-really-cartoon look that started with warcraft 3.
The bright and highly saturated colors. Simple to-the-point models with textures you can almost feel.
Good stuff =]

Have a look at http://www.warhammeronline.com before you decide what to play, it looks a lot cooler imo.
Edit: you have to have a look at the videos of the ingame animations, awesome stuff....

You realize there are reasons you have to pay right?
Besides... in the long run its probably cheaper than buying a lot of new games.
The graphics looks great... so much better than Everquest 2 (ugh).
They have said they have not finished the water graphics yet though (like in the shot of the huge Night Elf statue) which is good because right now they seem to be just blue planes.

I wasn't impressed by what I heard about Evercrack 2. I have friends who are addicted to regular Evercrack and it has no appeal to me. The problem Sony is going to face is that when they start up Evercrack 2, people won't be able to carry over their uber buff characters from Evercrack.... hence, the older players are against changing over. There are a few perks carrying over, like a family name from your last character... but not enough to seduce the older players. I have spoken with 'em and none seem overally interested in the new game. :/ A problem Sony will have to address with marketing and all.
Anyways, Blizzard should rock the MMORPG world. *g* I have faith in them. Everything the company has put out has been -good-. The only games of theirs I haven't played is the Diablo series and their new gba game. (forget what it is called). I am also looking forward to SC Ghost. That game is totally drool worthy from the screenshots/trailers.

lost vikings?
old school baby, pure old school.

Yes, Blackthorn is the other game of theirs I haven't played.
Yep! I got Lost Vikings. I wanted to get that game when it first came out years ago, but I didn't have the system for it. I was overjoyed with the re-release. I know the Viking dudes (Erik and Olaf) were in a movie and there used to be some Six Flags commercial with them in it. I can't remember the name of the movie though. :/
I love old school games, very underrated by the new gaming generation. Gaming isn't all about the eyecandy, story counts too! *la sigh*
RPGer 4 life. ;)

Lost Viking is puzzle game. It is about Vikings who were kidnap from their home while going hunting by aliens and now they need to find their way back. ;) It did have some base for a story. (nice intro for that game too, was impressed with how they pulled it off with the gba)
I was more referring to newer games being released and just so hollow storywise, since the idea is to pump out okay/bad games with awesome graphics to get a million-seller. For example, one that comes to mind is Enter the Matrix. Man, sounded like it would have such a great story but... ugh. Bad story, bad gameplay (due to poor lighting in game and few bugs (played ps2 version)) ... but it could also be the time factor releasing a game with a movie thing. Kinda like using the brand name to sale not so hot stuff. Or Ephemeral Fantasia... the game started off really good, had pretty graphics and all... but after 5 hours into the game... story falls apart (for me anyways) and was just... empty. The long short of what killed it: the bad guy basically comes out and says "Hahah..I am the bad guy... you'll never defeat me." while he was being smartish all along and trying to hide the fact. Out of character it seemed for the character..didnt fit in the story... but since the game was pretty story flaws are overlooked.
Some older school games don't got the graphics we have now-a-days (Crono Triggers, Illusion of Gaia, even Mario RPG ;p) has superb story/gameplay. The idea usually is more spectacle, less plot needed or no plot at all.
Probably because gaming is growing market and trying to dumb things down for the general population or pump more games out to make more money. I just have been finding it harder and harder to find an awesome story with an awesome game. :/

Yeah, this could waste me a lot of art time ^^. First mmorpg I've ever sight my sight on, maybe I'll try it for a bit, just for the experience. I'll sure be signing up for a beta test, maybe if I work my schedule real tight I'll be able to do more art :)
