y'know the runner's wall? the metaphysical obstacle that stops a runner in his/her tracks and forces them to put all of their last-ditched effort into keep on pushing?
I think I have that for art, I can pretty much do any sketch and refine it, but after that I completely ditch out... like, I start fighting myself to either ink it, then/or scan it and color it, etc. etc.

That, and being away from any art class for the past year hasn't help. I have no artist friends up where I live now, so besides DA (ew) and CA, I have absolutely no connections to the art world. I've been looking around for art classes but none of them are all that worth it.

I believe the main problem I have is that I was never good at blending and color choice, but I got so good at it after 3 years of art school... now I'm totally lost again.

Anybody else have this wall? What was it about? How'd you break through it?

y'know what, I'm somewhat of a hypocrite.

I made fun of people not googling for themselves today in another thread...

and now there's a big ass sticky I completely missed exactly about what I'm talking about...

move along.
