Plasma!

Hi all.
I have created and posted a image to this msgboard every day for the last week. Its really spawning evil things in my head, cant sleep...:P
I hade som e difficulties getting the right colors that i wanted. I think i settled somewhat between since i couldnt find that perfect palette.
Also the angles on some things are screwed up.. hopefully not that noticable but I was to lazy to fix....:>
AND yes , dont ask me what her hair is held up by, some magical..... thingy..... perhaps...

The boob on the right is really bothering me, looks like its trying to get away....

Also it doesnt look like shes on any solid ground, its almost like she is floating.

those breasts are larger than her head.. she must have bad back problems... seriously though.. breasts are excessive... why not portray a healthy looking female.. with toned breasts

Link. Well that is a open discussion i think. This is how i paint the female figure. Shure I can tone down alot of things but then I wouldnt be painting for my private thoughts. For one, I think art is about forms and colors. To plain and strikt art is to me wery flat. But shure I se your point but its not my style, sry. Thx for your comments. Appreciate it!...

Just wanted to say, that I like the way the picture turned out - the others have told about the probs (if big boobs are o.k. for you, than they are for me, too ;)

wow...these boobs are huge!! The overall proportion is good but you can try to resize that boobs...nice work...

Over all I like the pic. The colors are much better then your previous work iv seen here. The design looks cool.

the bright lights look cool on the somewhat drab background. its good composition and i like it.
with the lights, [and breasts] i think she on her way to a Rave.

i like the weapons! thats a great idea.

i think maby you should work on your value, and contrast.
the whole piece is a strain on the eyes and its a bit flat and without contour. also,, your artwork should speak clearly and loudly without you having to explain it and theres too much here that needs to be explained in my opinion. for instance,, i thought her hair was just a big black blob behind her head until you revealed what it was.
the best advice i can give is do some pieces using pictures or modles for refference just as an exercise. then after a while you will gain a better understanding of how light interacts with real people and objects and you may even gain a better understanding of anatomy. its ok to draw from your mind as long as you first have an understanding of the science portion... also once you understand it,, then you can take it appart and put it back together in a billion different ways.

Lono - Yes i understand that knowing the basic rules enables you to break them. BUT i would like to add to that this is also defined on what you are working against. I always try to work from a feeling. I do not bother with perfection issues since im not trying to do a photograph. However i know that it lacks alot of basic steps. And i will try practice on light. I think I will start by doing a lot of roundshapes and lighting them to behave as different materials like metals, skin cloth etc.

Palm - Thanks.. h0h0 the boobs seems to be on everybodys mind... I think that what a picture depicts is wery much a personal or style related issue hence it could be a wery hard thing to change. As I said earlier I like a lot of shape in my figures. Thanks for the lovely comments and i se you later...::P!...

Fipse - Hehe, thx. The bolter is a favourite of mine... It should work even better with plasma...:P.
