I am looking to eventually start a career in 3d animation/game design and am looking for a 3d modeling/animation program to meet these needs. I found this program by discreet and thought it looked pretty good. So if any of you guys have had experience with it, heard anything about it, or if you have suggestions I'd would love to hear them!
Thanks!

I don't know anything about Combustion, but two programs you might want to look at are Maya PLE (free to download or through mail) and gmax (the stripped down version of 3ds max, also free). Both Maya and 3DSmax are used extensively in the gaming industry. Also, Blender is cool, it's an open source full-function 3d modeling and animation tool.

On a little side note here, combustion is not AT ALL a 3d program. It's for compositing and VFX. As far as that goes, it's pretty good. For 3d progs, softimage XSI or Maya are the way to go. I don't quite like 3dsmax, altough you can make great stuff with it. My choice is XSI with is expensive, but IMHO the best you can get out there. Check out the XSI EXP version. It's also free to download as is Maya PLE. Just my 2 cents.
