Hi all!
This was one of two pieces for a love/hate assignment sdbarber gave us. C&C would be really appreciated.

the arm anatomy needs to be revisited...yer guessing...get the books out and fix it...you need to know your anatomy and proportions.
Id also say they look a tad short...
I cant tell what is in the background...it looks like an afterthought that you just stuck in there.
the far arm looks like a dogs paw.
the harsh words...dont ever do that again.
if you dont...thats automatic improvement. :) right?
keep at it...yer gettin close.
this one is not done however. sean should have been very critical of the anatomy. you hear me sean???

Hey, I like the pose. :)
One thing - is the cross supposed to look like that? It reminded me more of the red cross (hospitals and nurses) more than crusaders - but did the red cross take the exact symbol (red on white with a short fat square cross) from the crusaders? I'm not sure about it, but I think you should make it look more ornate?

Maya - Yeah, the crusade cross is the same one the red cross patterned theirs after...pretty macabre.
Jason - Shot reference for it actually, but yeah I'll fix the hand. Any advice for making it look less fuzzy? And Lucasarts went really well. ^_^

hey lynn-
we already discussed the arms/anatomy-
life study and figure drawing will make ALL of your work 100% stronger...
it's been said over and over again, but for anyone, including myself- if you want immediate improvement with your art, keep drawing from life- and sincerely attempt to capture what you see and be critical enough to realize it will never be perfect, so you have to keep doing it...
