Ok, so I'm a long time lurker on here but I've lost access to an old email account so I've decided I'm actually going to start posting on here under my brand new alias with my new found bravery.
Some of the works I'm uploading today are going to go in my portfolio for an interview for university I have in February. I'm hoping to study Illustration for Graphic Novels at Wrexham as it's the only place in the country that teaches it.

All criticism is welcome and very much appreciated.

Thanks for your time :)

EDIT : WOW, it feels really good to see my work up here.

Hi, welcome to CA :) - Well i can see that you need to work abit on your anatomy (bridgeman is great for that)
The one i like the most is your B/W ironman, really nice comicbook feel to it.
Keep the sketchbook pages flowing :lifedrawing:

What stands out as being wrong anatomically? =) Cheers for the post.

Well there is nothing directly "wrong" with the anatomy. It just seems to me that the anatomy is quite "symbolic" (?). Like you draw the "symbol" for triceps or abs (8 square boxes on top of each other). Focus more on the form and mass of the abs - not the abs themselves.

Anyway i might be totally wrong i haven't been drawing for that long myself. Just my 2 cent :).

No, I appreciate that and It's something I have been working towards. With the two 'hulk' like images I was aiming for something symbolic and stereotypical but it is always something I've done, so maybe it's time to move away from that. I'm looking at Bridgeman now. I've always been a Hogarth person and looking at this thing on Google books is making my eyes go funny. :)
