Alien weapon

Here's an alien weapon made in 3ds max i made it from my sketch i posted somewhere in the it's finaly finished forum.
The weapon comes apart into two axes.

I think it looks cool.

Where are his eyes? His left leg (our right) angle is odd and the weapon compared to your render (which is excellent) seems small.

be patient when posting. Sometimes you will have entire dialogues of self posts of your updates before getting a response. One way to increase your responses is to respond to other peoples threads and offer them the critique they are after. Then they will return the favor on your own. Also be very specific about what you want out of the thread. You did not ask for critiques, or praise, or anything. You just posted your image, which says to most people, look but dont touch.

now about your image. I like the design alot, but I think the execution is a little short. The metal blades are not as realistic as the marble balls, and the wooden handle is not real enough. I would try adding scratches, a more readable wood texture and possibly some displacement to it. the wicker ties around it are too even, and could use some more variation, I would prefer to see leather straps with dangly bits. In the concept, the weapon looks too small. I should think it would look better the height of your creature. Keep up the good work!

First of all he's actualy blind so he has those wraps and gems over his eyes. He sees useing his mind.

Thanks for the crits i'll do some more sketches and get back to you.

I'll make a new rough model to see if an extended weapon would work because he has to be able to use it in 2 peices and throw it like a throwing axe and bring it back with telekanesis. I'll also add more details like you said thanks again for the constructive critisism :) .

PS.I'll be more patient and make sure the post is inviteing enough for people with advice and or comments.
