Hey, i was wondering if there was a key on the keyboard to lower or raise the tones in my palette colour. By this i mean is there a short way to change the values on my colour like giving it a darker or lighter tone without going back to palette.
Like if i could keep my hand on the keyboard and change my colour just a bit without going back into the menus and all.
if theres a hotkey in painter 7 or photoshop 7, could you tell me please ?
thanks a bunch

There is no way that I know of. I have been writing Adobe and Corel on this issue as well as others. I want a shortcut that will allow you to change the HUE and Value in Painter and PS as well as the Angle of the brush in PS. Everyone, Write them and they will "hopefully" add these features.

Hi,
As far as I know, in Painter 8 and earlier versions, there's no shortcut keyboard command to adjust RGB or HSV values.
In the Color Info palette menu, you can choose to display HSV sliders or use the default RGB sliders.
Then you can either adjust the sliders or highlight and type the values in the boxes to the right of the sliders.
Or....
Pick the colors you want from the Colors palette, using the Standard Colors display (see menu for options).
Moving the small circle on the Hue ring sets the color.
Moving the small circle in the Saturation/Value triangle right or left sets the Saturation.
Moving the small circle in the Saturation/Value triangle up or down sets the Value.
Don't forget to make use of the Color Sets palette too, where you can create your own custom Color Sets by choosing one of the options from the Color Sets menu:
New Empty Color Set (pick colors and add them to your custom Color Set)
New Color Set from Image (based on any open image or photo)
New Color Set from Layer
New Color Set from Selection
New Color Set from Mixer

I think that’s pretty self-explanatory however we are talking about keyboard shortcuts as a workflow issue. It would make more sense to change your colors and values without having to move to the color picker or pallet. It would be a little more natural the way we are talking about.
Thanks for the help though. Have a blessed day.
