That is a brilliant dragon. Nice gloomy lighting and i like the beach setting.
The spider is nice and evil looking too. The third piece feels nice and dynamic. Good first post, hope we get to see more!

Wow! beautiful work, the translucence on those wings, love it!

I love the translucent effect on those wings and the loose way you dropped in that half buried skeleton. The image really reads well in the smaller version at the end of your post.

The other two illos don't have the same imagistic power, IMHO. The silhouettes don't read as well.

Best of luck

That is awesome. The beast on the beach is simply amazing. They are all great pieces, but the dragon is just the bee's knees. I would love to see more pieces like these.

I agree with Kev's post - marvelous drama in those translucent wings, the whole mood and apocalyptic vibe is caught in the way you have done this in relation to the sky and the sense of height they have above you. (I particularly like the little bit of arc shaped light breaking through the clouds just arching off the top right wing claw.)

Your big strength seems to be in your tonal control IMO.

Looking forward to more.

Great work! I really like all three of them a whoooole lot. Just out of curiosity, did you have an inspiration from Monster Hunter?

Really incredible pieces! (By the way, I LOVE Monster Hunter :))

I really like that the dragon's heads seem to be based on Turtles. I've seen a lot of dragons but that's a new one to me. Very cool.

Good stuff!
It's interesting what is happening with those horse's reins - Arranged as they are they should not work, but they do! and thus provide just the right 'giddiness' to the horse head and it's poise in an unconventional and interesting way......Very intiguing....
Like the use of light flares to organise the composition too.

First off, wow, all your pieces have great texture lighting and mood. However on the first one of the dragon, It feels very clumsy to me. It seems way to big and seems to have very little going for it in the way of aerodynamics, also the wings are way to small for it to actually fly. The torso seems way to thick and the legs are way to short and stocky. It is quite beautifully rendered, but it just looks off... infeasible as far a flying creature goes.

Thanks!

cbiscuit: yes the wings are too short

A new one
