Hi Emily, well you obviously have lots of creative energy.
I would suggest to draw from real life primarily, you will learn a lot more about the shape a structure of things, try to draw lots people as well.
This will help you learn a lot faster than jumping in straight into computer graphics. Well that's what I have found anyway.
I have also found a good website for practicing figure drawing - www.posemaniacs.com (http://www.posemaniacs.com) - 30sec drawing. Again I've found it a much easier using a pencil and paper...
Be sure to post updates so people on here can help you out, because I am not sure that online sketchpads are the best way of learning to draw!
GL!

ty for your comments! i appreciate the tips ^_^ i like using sketchpads though because tbh i am really shit when it comes to drawing w/ pen and paper i like to be ~whimsical~ but i will definitely check out that website that you mentioned and another reason why i like online art is you dont need a scanner! i have a very poor quality camera right now which is probably horrid for taking pics of pencil/pen drawings :'( anyway here are a bit more funky stuff i drew in the span of like...maybe an hour

... is you dont need a scanner!
don't let that stop you . pencils still work if there's no scanner. mine was still working when i was at the top of a mountain in wales ;)
even if you don't upload them the practice will show in your digital works.
tbh i am really shit when it comes to drawing w/ pen and paper
there s a good reason to do more pen/pencil and paper stuff :)
and instead of online sketchpads try this http://www.gimp.org/
and thanks for the visit :)
Keep it up!

My suggestion: Go out to the local art store, buy a sketchbook and pencil but don't go home. Walk around town and draw stuff that you see, even stuff that you would normally not be interested in. Patterns will emerge and you will become interested.

Hey girl, it's nice you wanna improve ! It's obvious that you have a pretty good imagination, now, i think you should stop doing creative stuff for a couple of weeks, and be focused on improving your drawing skilss ! As other members said, draw a lot from life, do posemaniacs, you can also try loose sketches ! Anyway, keep it up !
