Hello everyone, as I'm a new member to the site, I figured I'd go ahead and post one of my more recent works. I hope to share ideas and info as well as learn from many of the great artist on here. Hope you like it, enjoy!

Very cool! I loooove the long limbs, although I'm not sure if the human face is maybe a bit too whimsical. Probably that's just me. Great work.

Thanks! Yeah, I'm definitely into the steampunk feel on this one. After I saw Hellboy II, I went on a metal gears kick, putting them into as many sketches as I could, and this is what happened.

Thanks! The image started off as just a simple doodle, as many works do, and one thing led to another, doodle turned into sketches, sketches turned into what you see. If you were able to see the face up close, you'd see it's 'somewhat' expressionless, as it's more of a mask or covering like that of a knight's helmet. I do agree though, initially I felt the same way with the whimsical feel, or the impression of, but after debating it, I decided to keep it..I kinda' think it goes along with the insanely long limbs..lol, make no sense really. He's supposed to be pneumatic..or something, ha. I might try one with a starker face at some point. Thanks for the input!

Yeah, I'm a sucker for the warm colors, I love the stuff that grabs the eye. Thanks for your comment! More to come as time permits. It's slow going since I teach a ba'gillion classes in digital art, no time for my art hardly!
