first off, you should post images up to 800x1000 px max. nobody needs a 600dpi poorly compressed pic.
second, i might be uptight and rude, but this isn't art. it's a crude pencil sketch with no real purpose. i could give some constructive criticism, but i don't see to what purpose. i believe i saw your previous post and it was something similar. in the most friendliest way possible i ask you- why do you draw? seriously think about it. and think about what you want to accomplish.

I'd suggest studying anatomy. And practicing.
You're young, you've still got plenty of time to grow artistically. But frankly, if I were to criticise this piece, this post would be really, really long.

Art is in the eye of the beholder (or so they say)
Just draw because you like it, that imo is the most importan aspect of "art"
As for the pic, his sixpack stick's out comaired to the rest of the body, try to ad more detail to the rest of his torso or thin out those lines

not to flog a dead horse, but the scan quality is really bad on this one. way too big, and way too compressed. to the point, the scan sucks. it's hard to read the details.
while i'm in asshat mode, get off the ego trip. if you're going into any kind of art field, you're going to have to deal with an art director, and i'll tell you right now that they aren't going to be half as nice as lungbug was in his post. you have to take criticism, often mean criticism, in stride. if you don't want hard crits, there's always "it's finally finished"/"ooh's and aah's"
you have a lot to learn, and it's going to suck for all of us if you blow up every time someone gives you a hard crit.

I think what Lung meant was not 'why do you draw?' as in 'why are you drawiing, you suck', but you should seriously ask yourself when you draw, what you are really thinking and feeling and let it come out... what inspires you? why do you have the urge to create?
As for the drawing, I think the moon has too much prevalence, when the main subject should be the character...
The best advice anyone could have ever given me as a developing artist was to draw your entire composition in rough forms and basic shapes first, establishing proportion and the main masses of the figure. I'm sure I sound like Manley and I'm sure you've heard it before, but DRAW FROM LIFE! :D

And take your time to learn how a forum works, because as the pals have said, your pic is bad scanned and very huge. You say you don't know how to make the pic smaller. This is YOUR problem, not ours, so you don't have to sound as if we were attacking on you. In every 2D program there is a way to resize your image, gotta look for it ;)
And be pacient with the critics. I said a lot of times before in another forums: if you don't want any comments or feedback about your work, build yourself a web and put your works on there. Forums is about discussing self and others art ;)

if you want it personal, here's something to observe-
maybe you didn't notice, but my registered date says july 2002. that means i've been here for 18 months (pretty much since the beginning of the forum) and i've had time to see how all this works. i've seen a great deal of bad attitudes, junk and flame wars. you, on the other hand, have been here for less than a month (maybe you lurked before, in that case sorry), and the first time someone says something that is not as pleasing, "fuck off and eat shit" is the answer. that won't get you far.
you'll never learn a thing from praise. i'm sick and tired of having to coat the critique with praise. "it's all great, just that little thing is off" doesn't really stand for "get serious about anatomy and learn those muscles for once". there's a lot of things to say, but this might not be the right place. don't want to usurpate your thread, that is.
best of luck

people people-
heyo peeps a good method for scanning art work such as this would be to scan in in at about 150 dpi there should be a setting for this... dont scan it as line art just color will do fine...
then in an editing program- image size* i recomend photoshop...
try to scale it down to under 800 x 600
or smaller- make sure constrained porpotions is checked or your art will look hella skewed.....
then save for the web at mebby a meduim setting.. and walla yer set....
some one mentioned the byrne hogarth books ... and i agree... also for a simpler start * people may skoff at this* but a good and fun starting book (and cheap) is how to draw comics the marvel way- youll learn how to build characters from scribbling to stick figures and then progress to shapes......ect....
i dont think you need a reason to draw -unless someones paying for it- sketches and doodles can be returned to and defined later or get ideas from ect.....
about this pictrue... i think the characters need more
dynamic poses and the anatomy does need a bit of work - but if you love to draw and want to improve it gets better with study and time..don't be afraid to experiment...
.. another idea with your drawings would be to trace over this drawing a few times with a refrence of a body ect... and define and fix up your work...
shrug* people use the feelings you have inside to create art..... when ya want to go off *and i know i want to alot*
get a pen n paper.. and make a mad ass drawing...

i agree with shyst...on all points. how to draw the marvel way is a great starter book...pick it up.
lung bug...i respect your artwork and point of view, but calm down a little bit. i also agree with harsh criticism, because i've gotten plenty of it and it's helped me tremendously, but this guy is obviously just starting out and that kind of criticism is only going to discourage him. and telling him what he's done isn't art is a little presumptious.
people_are_stupid: criticism can be hard, but it's there to help you...take it in stride. practice your ass off and you will get better. as far as bitching about posts? i've posted my work here quite a few times and rarely get more than 5-10 replies. it's just the way it goes...if your art doesn't move people in some way, then they probably won't reply. if i don't get a lot of replies, then i take that as a clue that i need to step it up and try to really move people with what i create.

Just as an FYI,
what Lung Bug said wasn't harsh AT ALL.
Harsh would be: 'this sucks'. Or 'this is garbage-material'.
I'm in my first year of Graphic-and commercial design, and my tutors are often quite straightforward/harsh. But they're the experts , so I might debate with them if I don't agree on something, but won't take their criticism lightly. And will most definitely not insult them.
